Serbian Knight’s Code and presentation of the Knight’s Festival SHIELD

In cooperation with organization for preservation of medieval arts and crafts “Order of the Dragon” the Tourism Organization of Gracanica has during the 23rd and 24th of May 2017 organized lecturing on the topic medieval history, promotion of the books “Serbian Knight’s Code” and Marko Kraljevic” as well as the promotion of the second Knight Festival SHIELD. The lecturing and promotion have been held within the primary schools in Gracanica, Susica, Laplje Selo, Donja Gusterica, Priluzje and Babin Most. The lecturer was Marko Aleksic, magister of archeology, historian and writer.
At the lectures was discussed about the origin and nature of knighthood, the Crusaders warriors’ residence at the Serbian court, about the impact of just incurred chivalric order of the Serbian nobility, medieval Serbian heroes and battles.
The students, much to their great delight, for the first time had the opportunity to see and touch the Milos Obilic medieval knight armor, sword, medieval robes, bows and arrows. Also, the students had the opportunity to see the presentation of the archery section within the Order of the Dragon. With the aim to better familiarization of the medieval way of life, a large number of comics has been distributed to the students regarding the middle age which is prepared by tourism organization.
On Tuesday 23rd of May 2017 at 20 am, within the Culture Center of Gracanica the promotion of the book “Serbian Knight’s Code” has been held, written by our lecturer Marko Aleksic.
