SHIELD Festival Schedule

The second International Festival of Medieval Arts and Crafts – “SHIELD” will be held on 23th of June 2017, in Gračanica at school yard of King Milutin elementary school. This year, festival will be organized by Tourism Organization of Gračanica, two organizations for preservation of medieval arts and crafts - Order of Dragon from Gračanica and White Eagles from Belgrade.

SHIELD festival is supported by Municipality of Gračanica, Hungarian Embassy in Priština and Hotel Gračanica. The organizing of festival is supported by Culture Center of Gračanica and elementary school King Milutin.

17:00 The ceremonial parade of knights from Gracanica monastery to Kralj Milutin primary school

20:00 SHIELD Festival opening ceremony

Saturday 24.06.2017

10:00 Opening of mediaeval camp for visitors (the camp is open during the whole day)

11:00 – 19:00 Workshops (blacksmiths, archery, medieval coins cast, armor exhibition, leatherworks handcrafts, pottery)

11:00 – 12:00 Registration for the spear throwing and wrestling competitions

12:00 Spear throwing and wrestling competitions

15:00 Archery tournament

16:00 Children schedule: little fencing school and medieval board games

17:00 Knights tournament (single battles)

20:00 Knights tournament (team battles)

21:00 Medieval music concert
